A good time to start my blog is around Halloween. Why not? I speak to the dead people for living. Being a psychic medium takes you places, let me tell ya! I honestly don't like the word "psychic". It brings up many unpleasant stereotypes of roadside fortunetellers or a trickster energies. I do like to be called a "medium", or a spiritual advisor, or someone who brings light into people's hearts.
So, where are the dead people after all? In the afterlife! Of course, where else?
Why do they send messages to those of us, who are still living human beings? Because they can. Nothing heals grief better than a loving reassurance from the spirit world. They are ok. They are not gone forever. You will see them again one day. It always puts things into perspective.
The first sign from the departed loved ones: intuitive feeling. You can feel them around. Everyone has a certain energy blueprint. It does not change when you leave the body. The non-physical essence of you won't change, and therefore, could be felt and recognized by human senses.
Second sign: They cause interruptions in electrical currents, make lights turn on or off, disconnect you from internet, restart your computer, call your phone from weird numbers, and so on. Things like that will always get your attention.
Third sign: You will start hearing their names mentioned by random people in random places. Say, if you granddad was John, you will likely to see this particular name on post signs, email messages, books, and magazines. Eventually, it can turn into an exciting game "Who finds the most Granpa reminders is his favorite".
Forth sign: They will come to you in your dream. They can communicate with you all the time, but more likely when you are not thinking. Which is when you are sleeping. A word of caution here, though. Sometimes your impressions of them may show up in a dream. Such as, if they had a traumatic death, you had created painful thought impressions of them in your mind. These thought impressions should not be mistaken for spirit visitations, because they are induced by your own fears. When your loved one shows up in a dream, it feels real, casual, and non-threatening.
Finally: Dead people love to make meaningful connections with you. Whatever feels special: a butterfly, a rainbow, or a feather...any sign that means something, and reminds you about them is real. Of course it is not like they are putting coins on your path. They simply make you look at them as you pass by.
What I love about being a medium is showing people a glimpse of the afterlife. Unconditional love. Love that survives physical death and lasts forever. Your loved ones in spirit are never too far away. They are simply waiting to be reunited with you when your time comes.
